Ortovox 3+ Transceiver

This user-friendly 3+ digital transceiver from Ortovox incorporates Smart Antenna technology utilizing intelligent mobile position recognition technology.

This analyses the position of the 3+'s three antennas and automatically identifies the optimal transmission antenna. The circular precise real-time display screen clearly indicates the position and distance to the buried victim (also the battery capacity and consumption) with directional arrows enabling you to proceed in the right direction.

The precision and accuracy of this device efficiently reduce labour time enabling maximum efficiency to locate the buried victim. There is also a large safety switch-back to transmit mode button in case of a follow-up avalanche scenario.

The 3+ is also ideal for multiple burials with an overview and the number of victims displayed. After retrieving a victim, there is an option to blend out their signal with the pin key (the 3+ then shows that victim as pinned) allowing you to move on to rescue the remaining people. Durable ergonomic rubberized housing safely protects the transceiver from the elements, while the light display and optimized acoustics make searching at night easier.

Ortovox Badger Shovel

The Ortovox Badger Shovel comes with the same non-slip grooves, high side walls and centring aid in the shaft socket as the Beast, but the difference is in size.

This means that the Badger comes in at 85g lighter than its longer counterpart, although both shovels pack down to a length of 45cm for your backpack when travelling.

Although slightly shorter and lighter it still has the same blade volume (2500cm cubed) but has a shaft that is 16cm shorter than the Beast.

Ortovox Alu 240 Probe

The Ortovox 240 Alu Probe is a simple but effective choice from the ORTOVOX range.

This 240 cm probe comes with quick lock assembly system and Aramid tensioning cord, to ensure it is as strong and efficient as possible.

Aramid is a heat-resistant fibre of incredible strength and durability, all of which it combines with a very lightweight.

The 11mm diameter and 43cm fold-away size ensure that the probe takes up as little space as possible when stowed.

Weighing only 200g, the probe comes with a specially-designed quick-lock tensioning system so that users can deploy it with maximum speed and efficiency.
