O-flex-2-back system The backpack adapts to the natural S-shape of the spine through a Predetermined Curvature of the back system and ensures that the backpack closely Surrounds The Back. You can find this O-Flex Frame 2 backsystem on the following Packs: The weight load is held close to the body‘s centre of gravity and provides optimum support when carrying heavy loads. The Soft Padding in an „O“ shape on the entire back surface with a recess in the area of the spine ensures high wearing comfort during heavy activity. |
Full-Contact-Light-Back-System The 3D foam back system is simultaneously Light and Stable. This back system Distributes Load Evenly between the hip fins and the slightly padded shoulder straps. The back system is used in the following packs:

Swisswool-Tec-Knit Back System In the Swisswool-Tec-Knit Back System Ortovox combine foam and pressed swiss wool covered with a High-Tech Knitted Fabirc with varying breathability. In areas with lots of back contact, we have used Swisswool® Pads with more breathability. That means that the wool can absorb moisture (sweat) much faster and is simultaneously More Breathable and Feels Dry on your back – even during sweat-inducing climbs. Ortovox have placed foam in areas with less back contact to offer more Stability and better Wear Comfort. |
Swisswool-full-contact back system The Swisswool backs in the Ortovox Peak 35, 45 and 42 S backpacks are made of pressed Wool Fleece with a punchhole covering. Thanks to the wool, the backpack can Absorb Much More Moisture From the Back and at the same time is More Breathable than conventional backpacks that are made using foam material, for example. The Full Contact Back fits closely to the body and offers optimum weight distribution. Clasp Back System (21/22 Season) The Clasp Back System with the elastic Clasp Flex hip belt stands for perfect fit, comfort and flexibility in the Freerider Series series. The contact pads in the back system are Soft and Comfortable even In Cold Weather, yet allow plenty of Freedom for the vertebrae To Move between the pads. For even More Protection, the Clasp Spine Back Protector Can be Inserted into the inside of the system. |
2-Foam Back System The Ultra Light 2 Foam Back Panel back panel is the basis for Stability, Comfort and Protection in the Trace series. While the soft outside guarantees comfort, a harder internal foam protects against injuries such as those caused by emergency equipment. |
High-Flex-Contact Back System The back system for our Climbing Series offers a lightweight, Removable Aluminium Frame and a Full-Contacy Carrying System. The frame is very flexible, but rigid along the horizontal axis in order to bear as much weight as possible. Thanks to its 3D shape, the backpack fits closely to the back and guaranties Great Freedom of movement and the best possible wear comfort. |
