Zoom+ – it couldn’t be easier!
By far snowsafe’s best selling ortovox transceiver.
Two functional buttons, the zoom concentrates on simple usability.
The LED display is on the on/off switches and the switch between transmitting and searching.
Distances, directional arrows and information about multiple avalanche victims guide you in the fastest way to the redefined search area, with the intuitive search acoustics making victims easier to locate.
Equipped with the 3 Antenna Smart Technology, avalanche victims can be found easier with the Zoom+.
The device analyses are position in the avalanche and automatically switches to the best transmission antenna.
The Ortovox 3+ transceiver offers the same smart antenna technology that the zoom+ does but the 3+ intelligently has position recognition, this automatically switches to the best transmission antenna.
Ortovox has madeno compromises when building the search mechanism of the 3+ beacon, fully equipped with latest and most modern transceiver technology, digital 3-antenna and the Recco technology.
The illuminated real-time display tells you the direction, distance and number of victims. The tendency display, combined with the intuitive search acoustics, leaves no doubt when operating in fine search mode.
The buried ski companions can be removed from the LED display when using the flagging function.
The 3+ can be updated and protects the environment with just a single battery.

Secondary Avalanche Switchover
Ortovox has added a motion sensor to the Zoom Plus beacon to enable secondary avalanche switchovers.
If the sensor has not detected any motion for 120 seconds during the search, it automatically switches back to transmit mode.
Rescuers can also be found if there has been a secondary avalanche.
Recco Reflector Inside
For maximum safety, the zoom has been equipped with the Recco Reflectors
The Smalll Band Aid Size Recco transponder helps professional rescuers find victims buried in the Avalanche.
The Recco backup technology is used by more than 800 ski areas and rescue teams around the world.
Searching Easier
Intuitive Design
Ortovox has slimmed down the zoom beacon to its most important elements. With only two buttons, a faulty operation is virtually impossible.
Once switched on, the user can switch between sending and searching modes using the safety switch.
Further search instructions are then displayed on the large LED display.
A soft rubber ring around the outside of the device ensures easy handling and provides additional protection.

Visual + Acoustic Search
All of the Ortovox Beacons have a large display
The LED Display is used to show the distance to the victim, the direction using arrows and if there is more than one victim.
Large LEDs are easy to read poor visibility conditions and can also be seen at night.
The visual search mode is supported by intuitive search acoustics.
Higher and fast sounds tell you that you are approaching the avalanche victim. The sophisticated sound sequence clearly signals when buried victims are near.
