Avalanche Airbag Warranty, are you covered? 🎒🧾

Whether your in the market for a new avalanche airbag or you recently purchased one, its always good to know if your avalanche airbag is covered under warranty right?

Yes initally all airbags are covered under warranty, however this depends on exactly what damages or defects the pack has and how old your airbag model is and more.

Snowsafe breakdown all of the warranty periods on the bags we stock, what’s under warranty and what’s NOT.

Alpride 

	Airbag	Warranty Period
	SuperLight 24	2 Year Warranty from the original date of purchase.
	SuperCap 33	2 Year Warranty from the original date of purchase.
	SuperCap 40	2 Year Warranty from the original date of purchase.
	Alpride Unit	2 Year Warranty from the original date of purchase.

• Broken or missing parts
• Faulty Zippers
• Open seam in the stichting
• Manufacturing defaults in the airbag, inflator, trigger and webbing on the bag.

What’s NOT under warranty?

• Normal wear and tear
• Used or maintained improperly
• Modified or altered
• fading of colors due to extended UV exposure
• Damaged in any manner.

If your pack or airbag, which you have purchased directly from us, is nevertheless defective in material or production, Alpride will repair or replace the item free of charge within 2 years.

The decision to repair, replace or refund the purchase price of a product shall be taken by Alpride SA.

Ortovox is unable to warranty and accept liability towards the purchaser for the functioning of the AVABAG system in particular under the following conditions: improper use, repair attempts or parts replacement by unauthorized persons, and use of or connection to third-party components not authorized by Ortovox.

Soelden / Sopris Pro is covered under the Osprey Almighty Guarantee which means that should there be any defect in the way the pack has been built, Osprey will repair or replace the pack, within it’s reasonable lifetime.

As with all of Osprey products regardless of if the unfortunate damage/issue is covered under all mighty Guarantee or not, Ospery will always aim to assist in repair wherever possible and in line with all safety aspects of the pack.

Conclusion

Avalanche Airbags are designed for rescue, which need to be fully functional as they may be crucial for saving lives. 

We suggest in the summer months you run regular tests of your pack to ensure that you have a fully tested airbag for the beginning of the winter season.
